FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What gym owners ask us before getting started.

The software

What is Gymza?

Gymza is gym management software for Windows. It brings members, memberships, payments and receipts, attendance, RFID access control, expenses and reports together in one application installed on the front-desk PC.

It is developed in Morocco by Atlaxys Consulting, works without an internet connection and is sold as a lifetime licence, with no monthly subscription, from 5,000 MAD.

Who is Gymza for?

Owners and managers of gyms, fitness clubs, weight rooms, martial-arts and dance clubs who want to track their members, payments and entries without a notebook or spreadsheet.

Is Gymza suitable for a small gym?

Yes. A single Windows PC is enough, with no server and no mandatory hardware: Gymza Starter covers all management, with manual check-in or the QR code on the member card. When you want automatic check-in, Gymza Pro adds RFID.

The Starter plan (5,000 MAD, lifetime licence) is made for this, and the 14-day trial lets you check it fits your gym before you buy.

And for a larger club?

Members are unlimited, search stays instant with thousands of them, and role-based accounts keep reception, cash desk and management separate. Gymza Complete installs a turnstile and its access control; several entrances are available as an optional module, on request.

Today Gymza runs on one main workstation per gym. Managing several gyms under one brand is on the roadmap: contact us to discuss your setup.

Does Gymza work without internet?

Yes, completely. Gymza is installed on your gym’s computer and does not need the internet, whether to sign up a member, take a payment, print a receipt or activate the licence.

A fibre or ADSL outage changes nothing for your gym.

The limits, in all transparency: your licence file and updates are sent by email, WhatsApp or USB stick, and remote assistance needs a connection while it lasts. And because your data stays on the gym’s PC, Gymza cannot be viewed remotely from a phone.

Is Gymza suited to gyms in Morocco?

Yes. That is exactly who it was designed for: amounts in dirhams, bilingual French-Arabic receipts with your gym’s ICE, a right-to-left Arabic interface, and offline operation for unreliable connections.

Support is provided from Morocco, in French and Arabic.

What computer does Gymza run on?

Windows 10 (64-bit, version 1809 or later) and Windows 11. A PC with 4 GB of RAM and 2 GB of free disk space is enough; 8 GB is recommended.

Gymza does not run on Mac, Linux, tablets or phones.

Is the software available in Arabic?

Yes. The interface is available in French, Arabic and English, and each employee picks their own language. In Arabic, the whole interface runs right to left. Receipts are bilingual French-Arabic.

Where is my data stored?

On your gym’s computer, and nowhere else. We keep no copy of it.

An automatic backup runs every evening and is verified, with an optional copy to a USB drive, external disk or network folder, and optional password encryption. Member photos and documents are encrypted on disk.

Can I use several computers?

A licence is bound to the front-desk computer. With Pro and Complete, a second screen connected to that PC serves as the customer display.

If you need several workstations or several gyms, contact us and we will look at the right setup.

Trial and demo

Is there a free trial?

Yes. You download the full version of Gymza and use it free for 14 days, with no credit card and no online account.

A ready-made demo gym (250 fictitious members, eight months of history) is included so you can explore without entering anything.

How long does the trial last?

14 days from the first start of your own gym, with every feature. The demo gym is there for practice and for training your team.

Does the demo data mix with mine?

No. The demo gym has its own database, separate from yours. Everything you do there stays in the demo, which is labelled “DEMO” everywhere.

What happens after the 14 days?

Without a licence, Gymza switches to read-only: you can still look up members, print reports and run backups, but not record new sign-ups or payments. Nothing is deleted, and access control keeps working.

As soon as you import your licence, everything is re-enabled, with all the data entered during the trial.

How do I request a demo?

Fill in the form on the Demo page or message us on WhatsApp. We get back to you to arrange a presentation, on site or remotely depending on your city. The demo is free and comes with no commitment.

Pricing and licence

How much does Gymza cost?

Gymza is sold as a lifetime licence, paid once: Starter at 5,000 MAD (the complete management software), Pro at 7,000 MAD (the software with RFID tag check-in and 100 tags) and Complete at 20,000 MAD (the turnkey system with turnstile, hardware, installation and training).

12 months of updates and technical support are included; after that, maintenance is optional, at 1,000 MAD/year. The 14-day trial is free, with no commitment.

Is Gymza a monthly subscription?

No. The main Gymza offer is a lifetime licence, paid once: no monthly software subscription. Gymza does not depend on any online service and the licence is activated without internet, on your gym’s PC.

If you prefer to pay every year, a yearly licence is also available for Starter (2,000 MAD/year) and Pro (3,000 MAD/year).

What does “lifetime licence” mean?

You buy your licence once, and the Gymza version you purchased keeps working, with no end date. 12 months of updates and technical support are included.

The licence is bound to your gym’s computer; if you change PC, we transfer it.

What happens after the first year?

Your licensed version keeps working, with nothing more to pay. To keep receiving updates and technical support, you can renew maintenance for 1,000 MAD/year.

It is optional: without maintenance, Gymza does not stop.

What if I do not renew a yearly licence?

A yearly licence is renewed every year to keep every feature. Without renewal, after a grace period, Gymza switches to read-only: your data can still be viewed, exported and backed up, and access control keeps working. Renewing reactivates everything.

That is the difference with the lifetime licence, which keeps working without renewal.

How does activation work?

Activation works offline. In Gymza, open Settings → Licence, copy your activation request code and send it to us by WhatsApp or email.

We send back a signed licence file. Import it on the same screen: the licence is activated immediately and bound to that computer. If you change PCs, we transfer the licence.

Hardware and RFID

How does RFID tag access work?

Each member gets an RFID tag (card, key fob or wristband) linked to their profile. When they present it to the reader, Gymza checks their membership and the access rules, records the visit and, if there is a turnstile, asks the controller to open.

The front-desk USB reader works like a keyboard: no driver to install.

Does Gymza support RFID?

Yes. The Pro and Complete plans include RFID tag check-in: the member presents a card or key fob, Gymza verifies the membership, detects an expired one and records the visit.

Pro works with the supported 125 kHz USB RFID reader at the front desk. Complete adds a turnstile, an access controller and two readers, installed and tested.

How many RFID tags are included?

100 tags with Gymza Pro, and 200 with Gymza Complete, as cards or key fobs. Additional compatible tags can be added at any time.

Which hardware is compatible?

EM4100 125 kHz tags (the most common in Morocco) and MIFARE 13.56 MHz; keyboard-style USB readers at reception; network access controllers that speak the open Door Link protocol and drive turnstiles, gates and doors; an 80 or 58 mm receipt printer and a second screen for the customer display.

Gymza Complete comes with a ZKTeco TS2000 Plus turnstile and a ZKTeco C3-200 Pro Plus panel, commissioned and tested on site. Already have a controller or turnstile? Tell us about your project before buying and we will tell you what is compatible.

Can I use Gymza without RFID?

Yes, that is Gymza Starter. All management features (members, memberships, payments, receipts, expenses, reports) work with just a PC. Check-in is manual or uses the QR code printed on the member card.

You can move to Gymza Pro for RFID later, without reinstalling or re-entering anything.

What if the PC is off or breaks down?

The PC never drives the turnstile motor directly: the access controller opens it, and the turnstile unlocks mechanically during a power cut. With a Door Link controller, the list of authorised tags is kept in the controller, so members in good standing keep getting in with the PC off.

With Gymza Complete’s ZKTeco C3 panel, the decision is made by the PC: a PC that is off means a turnstile that does not open for tags. That is why we recommend one shared UPS for the PC and the controller.

Can you help with the hardware?

Yes. The Gymza Complete plan includes the hardware (turnstile, access controller, readers, tags and a mini PC) with its installation and configuration.

For another setup, we tell you which hardware suits your entrance and budget, and we configure Gymza with it: the hardware is priced in our proposal or installed by your usual installer.

Does the Complete plan include a turnstile?

Yes. Gymza Complete includes 1 turnstile, with its access controller, 2 RFID readers, 200 tags and a mini PC, delivered, installed, configured and tested, with staff training.

The exact models are confirmed in your quote, depending on your entrance.

Can I add another turnstile later?

Yes. Several entrances and turnstiles can be connected to the same Gymza workstation. You need a two-door controller (or a second controller), the readers for that entrance, and a licence extension for the extra entrance.

We price the hardware and the extension together, then configure the new entrance.

Installation and support

How do I install Gymza?

Download the Windows installer and run it: no administrator rights are needed. On first start, a wizard asks for your gym’s name and creates the owner account. It takes a few minutes.

For a complete installation with hardware, choose Gymza Complete: we deliver, install, configure and test the system, and train your team.

Can I bring over my Excel data?

Yes. Gymza imports a member list from an Excel or CSV file, so you don’t have to retype everything.

For fuller history or data from another software, we can do the migration for you, with checks.

Can I export and back up my data?

Yes. Gymza takes an automatic backup every evening and verifies it, with an optional copy to a USB stick, an external drive or a network folder; restoring is guided.

Your reports (members, memberships, payments, revenue, expenses, attendance) export to PDF, Excel and CSV.

How does support work?

The Gymza team answers in French and Arabic, by WhatsApp, phone or email. 12 months of technical support are included with every lifetime licence, then with optional maintenance.

If remote assistance is needed, you authorise it yourself from the software with a one-time code: there is no hidden access.
